80's Cartoons - Grayskull

The home of 80's cartoons.

"By The Power of Grayskull, I Have The Power....

...To Bring You Your Favourite Childhood Heroes All Under One Roof!"

We feature information about your favourite cartoon series and link you to sites to buy the DVDs of cartoons that will take you back to your childhood and let you relive those golden days of waking up and sitting in front of the TV with a bowl of your favourite breakfast cereal for a marathon of some of the greatest cartoons ever. We will also (hopefully) stock t-shirts, posters, toys and more!

Remeber how excited you were coming down stairs in the morning to find out what the Thundercats did next on Third Earth or how the Autobots defeated the evil Decepticons once again.

Think about rushing home from school to watch the latest episode of Around the World with Willie Fogg and listening to Andy Crane sing along to that excellent theme tune.

He-Man

He-Man LogoWe've just added our He-Man page. The page features a quick rundown of the series, followed by the lyrics for the TV theme tune and then there is a comprehensive episode list. Please feel free to visit the page and leave me your comments and suggestions through the links at the bottom of the page

He-Man was a constant in my TV viewing during the Summer Holidays from school, and even now I can still remember He-Man, Skeletor, Man-at-Arms, BeastMan, Orko, and all the others (although this may also be down to the fact that I also had all the He-Man toys as well).

Transformers

Transformers LogoOur Transformers information page is now complete. It features an brief synopsis of the seasons, the lyrics to the TV Theme and also an episode list. Please feel free to visit the page and leave me your comments and suggestions through the links at the bottom of the page

Transformers was another one of the ever-present cartoons from youth, the toys from this series were, and are, the best things ever, I still remember when I got Optimus Prime for Christmas and was the envy of all my friends!

Transformers - The Movie (2007)

Transformers the MovieBuy Transformers: The Movie (2007) here!

I had my doubts about this movie at first, but when I saw at the cinema I was instantly transformed (pun intended) into a 7 year old boy again. The Transformers Movie brought the Autobots and Decepticons to life, and having Peter Cullen reprise his role as Optimus Prime was a stroke of genius which sent shivers down my spine whenever he spoke. Buy this now!

Thundercats

Thundercats LogoThundercats is one the greatest 80s (and therefore all) cartoons. Buy it here now!

Every male over the age of 20 remembers the Thundercats, this was the reason to wake up early on Saturday Mornings and tune into Going Live. The Thundercats series was an epic in cartoon form. At a massive 65 episodes in the first series alone, the DVDs are excellent value for money. And yes, they ARE still as good as you remember!

Dungeons and Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons LogoCheck out our new Dungeons and Dragons page. This series beats any current kid's TV shows hands-down, even though it is over 20 years old, I would urge anyone who hasn't seen this 80s cartoon classic to buy the complete series RIGHT NOW!!!

The constant theme of these 80's cartoon series is the great toys, unfortunately I don't really remember these toys, I had one Dungeons & Dragons action figure, but it was of a secondary character and I don't recall ever seeing the main characters in the toy shops. If anyone can provide any information on these (if they did indeed exist) then please contact me with the information and I'll make it freely available on this website.

The REAL Ghostbusters

The Real Ghostbusters LogoThe Real Ghostbusters has now been added, although there aren't many DVDs available yet, this 80s cartoon was a major part of my childhood.

Based on possibly the greatest film of all time (contact me if you wish to argue with me about this) The Real Ghostbusters continued the adventures of Peter, Ray, Winston, Egon and, of course, Slimer.

The Ghostbuster action figures were based on this cartoon rather than the movie and were well loved by all of my friends, I even still have the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!

Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds

Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds LogoFreshly added, the classic 80s cartoon series Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.

As with all of my pages I have included the Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds. TV theme tune for you to sing along to and enjoy. Is this the greatest TV theme tune to any 80's cartoon series? contact me to let me know what you think, when I get enough results I will put up a chart of great 80's TV theme tunes. Stay tuned!

Ulysses 31

Ulysses 31 LogoI have just added the classic 80s cartoon series Ulysses 31.

This is a rare treat in the genre of 80's cartoon series, Ulysses 31 is an intelligent cartoon!

Based on the Greek and Roman stories of old, this series is a Sci-Fi reworking of James Joyce's acclaimed novel of the same name.

As far as I'm aware they were unfortunately never any toys made from this, I would love to hear from anyone who can point me in the direction of some though.

Maid Marian and Her Merry Men

Maid Marian and Her Merry Men LogoThe page for Maid Marian and Her Merry Men is now up and running! I know that this isn't an 80s cartoon and I'm therefore technically breaking the rules on a site dedicated to classic 80s cartoons, however, Maid Marian and Her Merry Men was an amazing show and WAS an 80s kid's TV show, so I'm bending the rules for this.

I recently watched this series and spent a very enjoyable weekend laughing harder than I have in many years, this series stands the test of time and for anyone that loves the work of Tony Robinson, this is a must have!
